Since we began working with Micah back in 2020, it has been an inspiring journey of artistic exploration and growth. Micah's portfolio, ranging from his expressive charcoal portraits to vibrant digital animations, not to mention his iconic cover for TIME, his 30,000 sq ft exhibit at Art Basel and collaborations with renowned brands like Beats by Dre and Starbucks, showcases his relentless pursuit of new artistic frontiers.
Micah’s first of a series of Aku novels, in partnership with Penguin Random House, slated for release next summer, is anticipated to weave yet another rich layer into the fabric of Micah's illustrious career. However, it is “The Dreamgazer” that represents a pivotal leap into a new domain of artistic expression. This sculpture, the fruit of eighteen months of meticulous craftsmanship, embodies a tangible manifestation of Micah's iconic character, bringing it to life with a palpable presence that promises to leave an indelible mark on the art world.
The sculpture, characterized by its intricate details from the lifelike folds in his clothes to the authentic textures of his backpack, stands as a pillar of Micah's dedication and artistic prowess.
We are also thrilled to announce that “The Dreamgazer” will be gracing the international stage with a large-scale installation set to be showcased in Hong Kong this March, followed by a series of displays throughout 2024.
